Character Design (3D): Black Girls Code. With process

In mid December 2020, I was approached by some administrators at the Academy of Animated Arts about a project in conjunction with the Foundry, and Black Girls Code. The Academy of Animated Arts is running a lighting course and they needed an original character for the course. I was fortunate enough to be asked to create Ashli, a young woman who is so in-tune with the world of coding, she's able manifest technological wonders in our physical reality. I was responsible for her story, concept, and all visual aspects shown here. I am deeply honored to be a part of this project, and I can't wait to see what young people who take the course create.
